Home Software Hardware Leopard

Menu:

I want to control my house from my computer, or anywhere in the world!

This is can be one of the more complex and difficult duties to setup, but my goal is to make it much easier for you. The reason why I say it could be difficult is because this deals with the potential for a lot of different hardware from a lot of different companies. Every house is different as well, which means that your difficulties could be different if you took the same computer and just set up it up in a different house. A lot of the home automation hardware discussed works over existing electrical lines in your house. Using electrical lines to send data introduces a huge amount of potential headaches. These and other headaches are discussed in the tutorials. Also, the documentation for doing it is virtually non-existant from other sources.

This is not really very stressful on the server so any of the hardware supported by Leopard should work just fine for it. The other thing to be aware of is that if you set up certain devices, there could be potential security concerns and/or potential energy waste, but not to worry, I cover all of this in my tutorials as well. That's right, I said tutorals, plural, this is another topic that needs to be split up into multiple tutorials. This is due to the complexity of the setup, and also that you may not want to set up all the different aspects or features of home automation, so you can just skip what you don't want.
